Benjamin Stokes
Ben Stokes has become one of the most dynamic players in the world in all formats of the game. He was part of the England Under-19 squad for the 2009 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and made his debut for Durham the same year. He was chosen for the England Lions and played against Sri Lanka in 2011, then debuted for England against Ireland later that year. Stokes played a further four ODIs against India before he was sidelined with a finger injury. His next opportunity for England came in 2013, when he was named in the one-day international squad for a series against Ireland and Australia, before being included in the squad for the 2013-14 Ashes tour. He has a best of 258 with the bat and 6-36 with the ball in Test cricket. Stokes was recruited by Melbourne Renegades for BBL. Good form for the England Lions in early 2015 was enough for Stokes to earn a recall to the England Test squad for the West Indies series, where he played all three...
He was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and lived there until he was 12 years old.
