Statistically the most successful player in Bangladesh’s history, veteran allrounder Shakib Al Hasan played in his third ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015. An under-19 representative for his country, Shakib made his one-day international debut in August 2006 against Zimbabwe, and his Test debut followed one year later. Skilled with the bat and the ball, Shakib has played a major role in the development of the Bangladesh cricket team through his career. He was captain of the team which defeated New Zealand 4-0 in an ODI series in 2010, while Shakib was a member of the 2007 and 2011 World Cup squads.
